Street Party's Kick off and Biogas fuel!

So Sundsvall´s street party is on it's way! The hot day started with the opening of the new tanking facility for biogas fuel. I rode a natural gas run bus to get there and was happy to see and hear the plans that mean that Sundsvall will be first in the country to produce biogas from collected bio refuse. Spent quite some time discussing with a Los Angeles developer closely studying our plans!
The Gatufesten- Street party got on to a good start with the presentation of the year personality- Dragon of the year- that went to Dr. Annika Dahlqvist. She defends a diet with natural fats and eliminating carbonhydrates. This is specially important for people suffering from diabetes. We ate at the University students tent and I had the opportunity to talk to several of our foreign students. Many of them are really working hard to make ends meet. Our mayor Anita Bdioui inaugurated the party and promised to continue working for the increase in population that is so vitally important for Sundsvall' s future!

Så kom Gatufesten i Sundsvall igång! Men den hetta dagen började med invigningen av tanstället för biogas. Jag åkte dit med naturgas driven buss och var glad att se och höra om de framtidaplaner som bl.a. innebär att Sundsvall blir först i landet med egen produktion av biogas från insamlade bio sopor. jag tillbringade en stor del av tiden i samtal med en Los Angeles baserad utvecklare som noggrant följer utvecklingen hos oss.
Gatufesten startade bra med presentationen av ärets dake som gick i år till Dr. Annika Dahlqvist. Hon försvarar en naturlig fett diet och minskade kolhydrater. Det här är särskilt viktigt för diabetiker. Vi åt på Studentkårens tält och jag fick tillfälle att tala med flera av de utlaändska studenter. Många måste verkligen anstränga sig för att få deras ekonomi att räcka. Vår KS ordförande Anita Bdioui invigde gatufesten och lovade fortsatt arbete med befolningsutveckling som är så viktig för vår kommuns framtid
